Facebook's new layout for Pages - The Thanksgiving Update

Lovely Facebook is rolling out a new format for its Pages, so you if you haven't already noticed that your business Page is laid out differently, do not worry, it's coming! As anything new, it feels awkward and perhaps a tad frustrating:  photos, videos, reviews and events all bunched up at the top of the page and feel out of place.

Yep, that's the new default layout, but do not despair, simply click on 'manage tabs' on the eft-hand-side bar of your Page's 'home' screen and you can then see the default order of tabs which you can move around. Happy days!

If there are tabs that you don’t use, such as ‘events’ you can make them invisible on your Page by switching them ‘off’

I manage a few Pages for my clients and as Facebook is rolling out these changes, they are affecting various Pages differently. I believe that in the US Facebook has introduced "Templates" for various formats of Pages (i.e. ecommerce, venue, community, services) but I have not seen that on my UK based clients' Pages yet; so there's obviously more to come. I will update this post once more changes take place.

In some cases, even managing tabs appears to be impossible (see a few examples below) so if you are having one of these issues, give it a couple of days but keep an eye on it.
